HandyFact - College Hints
Things to consider:
-Balance your classes by signing up for an easy class when you have many
difficult classes. You'll be able devote more time to the difficult
classes and maintain a high GPA.
-Try not to constantly switch majors. Every time you do so will make it
more difficult to graduate in a timely manner.
-If you have absolutely no idea what you want to do, pick a business major. You
will have a large range of options once you graduate.
-The first year will set the pace for the rest of your college years.
Try hardest in this year so that the rest of the years will be easier.
-If an instructor seems to be challenging, switch to a pass/fail option (if
possible) so that your GPA won't be affected.
-Although it's important to maintain around a 3.5 GPA (on a 4.0 scale), it's
also important to participate in a range of activities while going to college.
-If you're able to do an internship or two before graduating, it will give you a
significant advantage over your fellow graduates.
-Attend every class and listen to your instructors as attentively as
possible. Just doing this will produce immediate results.
